can't update or uninstall.

I can't update my program because ever time I try it asks me to close some adobe auto running program that I have no idea how to close. So I try the support button. The topics are all mixed up, between 8,9 and 10. Lots of requests for help with no answers. I would uninstall the whole program but the uninstaller has the same issue with Adobe auto running programs. I'd like to punch their programers in the nose for being such idiots!
