Why do they do this crap?

Its awful that America has to be associated with this bank since all they do is put us in debt!!
In June of 2011 we entered into a home modification program because we were out of work. My account manager told me everything was ok, even saying that if I missed a payment it wouldn't hurt me since im in this "program" so I missed a few months worth of payments because I did not have the full amount but each month I offered to pay you half and you told me no, you cannot accept a partial payment. I did not forget about my contractual obligation, I just did not have the full amount to pay you, so I tried to pay you anything to keep my account in good standing. So now im behind on my mortgage in the amount of almost $1800 (If you would have taken my partial payment it would only be $900). After we found work again we tried to do the responsible thing and pay you guys back but you couldn't even take a partial payment on $1800.. wtf guys... $1800 is a lot to save up when your extra money (usually $200 a week) goes towards gas and groceries (we receive no assistance with groceries). So you will not take my money but your very quick to send foreclosure notices, even sending people to my house to take pictures. Come on guys I have stayed in constant communication with you, I gave you all my personal financial information why does it take 8 months to process this? Why will you not work with me at all? You have ruined my credit so I cannot get a loan to pay you back. One more thing, why would you have a debit machine in front of each teller if you cannot use it to make a payment (unless of course its a Bank of America card). You guys do not seem very "American" to me!
