What I took away from this movie, is an admitting that religious groups purposely take advantage of times of crisis to convert people to their religions because thats when people are looking for hope. They admit they are doing the wrong thing for the wrong reason. Also Mila Kunis does not belong in this movie. Not her genre. Plus how do you walk for THIRTY YEARS and not reach a coast? You could literally walk around the world (including boating) multiple times in thirty years if you only ever stop to eat/sleep. That should be enough reasons this movie should not exist.   it neither sucks nor rocks. it's just OK. I don't particulary care about the preachy message; it doesn't bum me out or anything, though it is pretty obvious early on. The one thing that bugged me about the film is that the makers don't give a nod or shout out or royalties, lol, to the creators of Fallout and Fallout 3. they clearly inspired the COM... more »

The one thing that bugged me about the film is that the makers don't give a nod or shout out or royalties, lol, to the creators of Fallout and Fallout 3. they clearly inspired the COMPLETE backdrop for the film, from it's crumbling elevated roadways to the bleak desolate open range. even the way abandoned cars were arranged was straight outta the game. they shud at least acknoweldge the game for the film's inspiration, fer goodness sake, because it's way beyond obvious. you'd have to be blind not to see it, heh heh. « less

  Still in shock at just how bad it is! Worst movie I've seen in a long time! I couldn't believe that such a famous line up stayed on board for that crap! What were they thinking? I'm Irish and thought that maybe it was a culturle thing and that I just didn't get the movie from the American perspective!

  I know its had to do allot with religion, sorry i do not care for that at all. Ppl judge is based on that i noticed that on IMDB too (for the nuubs, biggest moviesite/database in the world) It sucks because it is a complete ripoff of MAD MAX, that in my humble opinion stays the best classic in it's gerne.

  I love post apocalyptic movies etc. I own Fallout 3 ffs! I love Denzel's movies.... But the Book Of Eli, was horrible. No depth to it and so so short. There was one good thing. Al Green's How Do You Mend A Broken heart was in it. I was so excited about this movie, My gerne, One of my Fav Stars and then so so so heart broken at movie. Denzel's actin... more »
