On July 17th, Delta delayed take off to accept late passengers making me miss my connecting flight in JFK. They blamed "air traffic" for the delay and gave me and my family a flight the next morning but no hotel to sleep despite I was travelling with 3 small children. The time is 2:08am, early Monday morning. Am inside a Delta plane waiting for god knows what. Delta told me this plane DL2886 would get here at 11:14. But I guess am to blame, of all the 7 Delta flights I've flown, NONE has ever left or arrived on time.
I was a lifetime platinum member on NWA. Delta felt NWA had miscalculated that so I am a lifetime Silver member on Delta to reward my years of business. It's all about corporate indifference.
Frequent mechanical troubles on aircraft deters me from using Delta Airlines.
I tried to give Delta $1200 if they would credit miles for an overlapping flight back into my frequent flyer account without penalty - they said no. Stupid!!

Do not fly Delta to Montreal, Canada!!! It's a curse! They have sooooo many mechanical problems to Montreal. I have experienced at least 3 flights to Montreal this year with Mechanical problems!!! You just end up wasting your day!
I have never been so angry with an airline in my life. Since when does Delta Airlines get to take your money and then LIE to you, and get away with it? Have you tried calling this pathetic excuse of an airline ..... even on the supposedly exclusive skymile number ? My daughter recently flew from Argentina to Miami with a stop in Atlanta. The arrival was delayed for 1 1/2 hours. She missed her connection which caused her to miss a scheduled meeting in Miami at which point she decided to stay in Atlanta where she was to eventually travel. Her bags went to Miami. Just went to their JFK terminal. It's such an horrific place (terminal 3)and the most stressful place. They are bringing the travel experience to a very low level. Northwest had their issues, but they did take care of their frequent fliers. This cannot be said with delta. Delta treats its frequent flyers like scum. Deltas service is TERRIBLE. They didnt help me out even though i was only 4min late for some sort of vague, misleading, check-in deadline, in all the fine print of their service contract. Absolutely terrible service. I had delays due to a missed connection and the employees were so rude and brusque. When I observe such terrible, cursive customer service, I know the problem starts at the very top. The employees were so dismissive and non-responsive, that I know management is treating them poorly. Their website is misleading and does bait and switch advertising with only one "low fare" ticket actually available, and then switches on you at the end of purchase. The way they charge for excess weight is absurd and their touch screens are really unresponsive on the flights.
1. They did not value their Platinum members!!! Stupid Delta. you will lose your loyal customers very quickly. 2. Delta does not provide the benefits to their Skymile members 3. Got charged $190.00 for baggage for 3 bags: $25 per bag each way plus $90 excess weight on one. Changed flight for $150 fee, then they had mechanical problems, put us back on original flights and still kept $150 fee. They will not remove $150.00 change fee. Tried to create online reservation. Something went wrong on their side and I was charged for 0.00 dollars :). They gave me a callback later saying that they made a mistake and will need 24 hours to charge my card. After 24 hours they just cancled my resrvation without letting me know. too long to tell it all. After a great trip on Qantas from Sydney to LAX. Took Delta from LAX... took 2 hours plus to get from first line to get boarding at machine (no reps to do that, only walkers to help do that process.) Their flights are constantly either delayed or cancelled. Their check-in lines are easy to find, though, because they are the longest and slowest moving lines in any airport. I'm sorry their employees don't understand the "new system", no problem for me to stand in line for over an hour after a 1 hour drive in a smelly taxi to another airport.
Since they took over NW airlines they have made an absolute sham of the airline business. An email with a simple question took over a month to reply to and then with an incorrect answer. Service is dreadful. You'd think breeding with your relatives was an art at delta!!!!!!

Delta is terrible een sitting here for 35 minute thus far for a 45 minute flight and they recently overcharged me 1200 dollars for a flight I never even took the worst airlines hands down I loathe them
I fly all the time and on many different carriers. Delta by far has the worst customer service. I receive better customer service at my local DMV office. They should change the name to Ghetto Jet because I feel like Im in the ghetto when I fly them. But hey... I Hate Delta. We just sat on the Tarmac last night for 3 hours and they said we had to return because the de-icing machine was out of de-icer.
