(2) they are nothing but a computer auction running itself with minimal staffing and ZERO customer service or support (3) their buyer protection is a joke, it is freezing the funds and giving you a negative pay pal balance while the buyer gets to keep the product and they keep the money.   For several years, eBay pushed sellers to accept as many forms of payment as possible in order to accommodate customers and increase sales - now they pressure PayPal as the only option. I don't trust a company that campaigns against the use of legal currency.

  6. eBay does not protect their buyers from malicious feedback.
  7. Policies are changed without proper notice which may negatively effect your buying or selling.
  8. eBay customer service acts like a bunch of automotons, you can obviously tell they are reading from scripts. Rarely do you get to talk to someone who knows what they are doing.
  9. eBay charges ridiculous fee's, uwpards of 5%, on top of that you pay paypal fee's of up to 10%. Add it up, its a lot.
  10. They could care less about their sellers reputation.
  11. There are hundreds of other alternative sites out there that charge much less and actually care about reoccurring customers.
  12. if you haven't figured it out, eBay and paypal are in the sack together, always get a quote from usps.com first sometimes the shipping is ridiculously higher for no apparent reason.
  13. Sellers can not leave negative feedback, even if it is just.
  14. Even though you are an individual, you are expected to perform the legal functions of a business. One mistake on your policy can result in unwanted or unjust chargebacks/feeedback.

  Gosh, why do I hate eBay ... there are so many reasons. Most recently, eBay has made it literally impossible to contact them. They direct you to their help system, you scroll all the way through, can't find anything helpful, click the "contact us" button and it takes you back to their frickin' main help page again.
  
  Second, eBay MAKES MONEY off of non-paying buyers. All of the listing (or insertion fees) for buy it now auctions are NOT refunded when buyers don't pay. They tell sellers to switch to "immediate payment required." Well, this excludes all buyers who use eChecks, requires buyers who want multiple items from you to stop and pay for EACH single item, and jacks up the final PayPal fees.
  
  Thirdly, non-paying buyers just get a "wrist-slap" when they don't pay. Essentially nothing happens to them other than some nebulous "mark" on their account that doesn't mean anything. If eBay doesn't trust sellers to leave appropriate feedback about these non-paying buyers then they could automatically give negative feedback to buyers who don't pay.
  
  Finally, sellers are required to ensure all items arrive for buyers -- even if the delivery confirmation proved the item arrived. I agree that buyers should be gauranteed receipt of items. However, eBay itself takes absolutely no risks regarding shipment and pushes it all on the sellers.

  Ebay sucks I also think Myspace and Facebook suck its all about the money and not the users anymore. . So I created Wanderby.com its new. I just turned it on today its a beta right now still adding new things that users want. This site works like myspace and ebay as one but with out the ads and high fees. And all the crap.
