Simply unusable

This is unbelievable, I am trying Eclipse for the third time now probably thinking to change my opinion, but it still sucks big time. 4 hours wasted and no actuals results. I can not find anything there, it is so unusable. After finding out that I actually need a bunch of plugins for drawing simple UML diagram, I am trying to download them using software update manager, but it keeps crashing all the time. Literally the whole Eclipse collapses, not to mention unclear errors it constantly gives me or even null pointer exceptions.
