Firefox sucks because ever since 3.5 it has been totally unstable. Constant "Not Responding" and crashing. Also, won't save toolbar customizations because the localstore.rdf keeps getting corrupted for no reason. It hangs in program memory after shutdown and is slow loading data where previously it was the fastest. I am done with it!!

I used to loved it for years, because it used to be fast and reliable. Now is like a sick big elephant - crashing and slow. The other day it took 4 minutes to start - without any reason. So I'm with google chrome now.

The new version with fucking plugincontainer is awful. If you deliberately crash it in task manager the reduction in used memory is much much more than the manager displays. Most of you guy's have this all wrong. The one part you have have right is yes it has become unstable especially with the latest releases, plugincontainer.exe being the main culprit. Firefox is an open source application, meaning that they do not get paid when you use firefox. You may think the same about IE but you're wrong, when you payed for you... more »

I don't now what happened to it, but I HATE it now. It is the WORST now. I actually considered going back to IE, so that's about how done I am with it, and I've been using it since about 2005, so, yeah, that's a long relationship coming to a sad and bitter end. I'm gonna do my research and switch, not to IE, but to something that actually works.

just up date to ver.3.6.8 hopeing to fix the youtube lag issue...but now it really suckz...i run mac os x 10.4.11 i would do the chrome thing...but id have to update my os to the newer ver and i dont have the money for that

Firefox started good then they started to think themselves God and it really sucks now. plugin-container.exe is coded by some school dropout, it crashed everytime. Firefox is dead.

I uses to love it until the last few versions came out, doing exactly the same thing as the reasons for me leaving IE. What is it with these guys? Seems like they nail a great idea on the head, everybody loves them, they get successful, they get greedy, they try to make even more money, and end up ruining their product. i've always been on FF but since 3.6.6 it uses all my cpu which makes my mbp hot, so the fans are working overtime trying to cool it down. this is constant with general browsing (barely any flash video) & i only have no-script & a couple other small add-ons. it's not really crashed on me but i have no idea why this build is frying my laptop during ... more »

plugin-container.exe is the biggest shit firefox could have ! Where is the old good fast and lightweight browser? If Mozilla don´t stop producing only shit like in 2010 i will change my browser to opera or something else. Firefox was always my favorite because it was easy to handle but now it becomes real horrible.. piece of s..... oftware.

The plugin-container.exe that comes with Firefox makes it lag and crash. I have 2GB of memory and never had a problem with Firefox until the 3.5 update.

Anything good in this browser is in some plugin. Sadly there is no plugin which will decrease memory usage level or increase speed of browser. Also square kilometers of unused space (toolbars). Firefox sucks now. It's been about a year that it's sucked. Mine keeps going to a white screen of death and blanking out. High CPU usage when playing videos, taking a long time for tabs to switch when a page is loading and above all javascript code doesn't work properly, though it works perfectly in Google Chrome. All these problems (not to mention the frequent crashes) make Firefox suck so badly.

I maintain a computer and since i installed google chrome the rate of manual shutdown has decreased dramatically. Firefox and IE are not necessarily in website loading time they are slow in the sense that when the browser refreshes they tend to be as slow as a snail or freeze up completely causing users to manually shut down their systems.
