The people at the top of this company are shameless liars and cheats. They have little criminal rat brains working all the time on ways to steal money from their 'customers'.
They tried to shift my checking account to a 'Premier' account knowing full well that would cost me $25/month in fees. Not only did I not ask for this, but I had to call them so this would not happen.
How many grannies or people not paying attention are now getting robbed of $25/month by HSBC? Scumbags.
Also they slow down bank to bank transfers on purpose to steal 4 to 5 days worth of interest from you. As we all know these transactions are near instantaneous, and at all other banks it takes only a day to get moved. Not at HSBC!

I ask for the complaint center number.Moses lies to me and gives me another number for Security in Bungalow India.This rather not gentlemen is rude to me and will not even tell me what department he works for.He gets angry with me being frustration and threatens to dismiss my phone call.Later he abruptly dismisses my call when I had stopped being rude minutes ago. I am tired of their poor service,I will be transfering my money to Key Bank.He could not put me on with a Supervisor or Manager cause there were none in till the morning , BS. And I was told multiple times id be on hold for a minute and would have to wait three to five times that.

They are disgusting aggressive and ruthless. Small business has suffered so badly in the last 2 years, but HSBC have been ruthless and relentless. I have a mortgage with HSBC. We took the mortgage and the insurance - paid everything timely. My husband died unexpectedly FIVE DAYS before the two-year period when the insurance would pay off without question. I gave all the information they asked for; I cooperated fully with them. It took that company NINE MONTHS to made their decision - and they denied my claim. The cause of his death was completely unrelated to the excuse they used to deny my claim.

This world-wide corporation has assets of over FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS - including all their subsidiaries and other holdings. My mortgage isn't even pocket-change to them. I wish there were a class-action lawsuit I could join based on unfair and bad-faith business practices.

You can't even talk to the adjudicator deciding your claim. You will be told there are no phone numbers available. Really? They must work on Mars.

Beware! They have their nasty little fingers in so many companies, you'd be amazed. If you go to Householdwatch.com there is a list of the companies they control. Everywhere you go you're enriching that unscrupulous corporation. « less

They have just made me a Premier customer. They have done an investment programme for me but have failed to pass any entries. My emails to my Premier relationship manager and my investment manager have been unanswered for 4 days only for me to learn that both are on leave and no one is covering their positions. I have been a customer of HSBC & Midland for over 25 years and I am treated with this sort of contempt. I am now cancelling my Premier status and the investment plan and will save £25 per month charges (after 6 months). I tested them early and they failed abysmally. I shall move my business elsewhere before I actually start to lose money. « less

hsbc sucks, i got a suzuki motorcycle card from them and got a gsxr 600 back in 07, i was told my payment would be introductory at 100 bucks a month i thought it was for 60 months, it was only for two years , now the payments 260 a month and i couldnt make the payment, so i fell behind, i tried doing their hardship program which i was told i was apporved for so i made a payment that day to catch up, called a week later to see where the paperwork was for the program and they told me the person made a mistake with the dates and qualifications and i wasnt apporved but she told me that i quailfy now for the program because it was passed 90 days so i made another payment and waited for the paperwork when i didnt recieve it i went online to check my account and was locked out and was told to call a number that turned out to be the repossesions department, i spoke to a rep which sent me back to the collections dept, the rep now told me i didnt qualify in the beginning because my account hasnt been opened for three years , so basically i got lied to by two different reps till i got someone to tell me the truth, this is my current nightmare . these people will not work with me they seem like they rather repo the bike then take partial payments, they would make more money off of me then to repo the bike, why will they not work with me it would be better for their bottom line . Has anyone had the same experience or work a plan out with them any advice would be appreciated. thank you to those that took the time to listen to my long rant « less

I also wanted a payment statment. asked for it feb 14.got it may 2nd...i would send my payment the day I got it.6 time in 2 years got late fees..at the time I did'nt have the a computer. did not have use for one.and now that i see all those HSBC in the middle east. I would'nt trust them with anything now. one of my email address is HSBC SUCKS 1.. I have not started my blog yet about on everthing they have done to me. i have the copys of what they have done.I dont owe them anything now and the tool people i deal with sent a rep to my shop to tell me to stop what i was doing to there customer telling what HSBC did to me and what they did on all of my accounts. I think they sucks because I was sued for 2700.00 after I decided that the merchandise was not what I wanted and the cashier didnot refund my money gave store credit of 25500.00 instead of refunding the 250.00 on my hsbc card charged 2500.00 which gain interest so I am being sue this happened 4 years ago. I am not surprised that the private banking sucks so bad, but I am amazed how they can get away with such poor service in commercial banking. HSBC Hong Kong has cost my company business and made us look bad. I am moving my business elsewhere. I am usually cool about things like these, but these people have really pissed me off. I am telling everybody I know about this so they can avoid the same treatment at the hands of the incompetent fools at HSBC. « less

- I signed a contract and found out later that it was with HSBC. They couldn't be honest enough to tell me that it was HSBC. What does it tell that they don't admit their own name?

- At first, after hassling me, they ALLOWED me to pay the monthly payments at their branch locations, IF I used a check, no cash.

- Their excuse for the previous was that my loan is through a different company that happens to have the same name, logo, and everything else. Hello!?

- THEN they have the nerve to tell me that THEY are doing me a FAVOR by allowing me to pay a loan, held by them, at their branch office.

- This was told to me by EVERY employee of the bank I talked to. Both in person at various branches and on the phone to their headquarters when I called to complain.

- After two years of paying in person, they suddenly inform me that I cannot pay in person under any circumstance.

- When I filed an insurance claim for $1000, the insurance company promptly sent me a check made out to me and HSBC. No problem there. HSBC refused to endorse it until I gave them a receipt stating that I had paid it out of my pocket. I paid it out of my pocket and sent the receipt and waited 3 WEEKS for them to endorse it and get it back to me.

- To cap it all off, they received $35 billion in taxpayer bailout money and they will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help me now that I am unemployed! All that I have asked is to be able to make some interest payments until I start working. Their answer is "NO." They would rather reposess the bike at a loss of several thousand dollars than earn a few extra months of interest payments. WHERE IS THE SENSE IN THAT!

- Then, to rub salt in my wounds, I have to listen to them tell me that they are a "hometown bank" every time I talk to them on the phone. « less
