I work at IKEA and they preach there values and make all sorts of promises and dissapoint many of there underpaid employees. This is not a complaint it is a actual fact from a 4 year employee. They preach other wise of the wonderous opportunities at IKEA but just ask anyone that workes at one of there DC's and you will get the truth. « less

Ikea sucks b/c when you attempt to order online so many of their products require other pieces sold separately. Not only do you have to read the fine print to make sure you have every thing you need but the total price after buying all the pieces is excessively high. especially for basic, crap furniture you have to assemble yourself. Worst online order experience. I ordered an item that was on sale for $129. Unknowingly, their shipping was by lbs. It was $279!!! I just lost $279 for nothing. The customer support person said that if they were deliver, and I dislike the product then I would have to pay for return shipping and handling - that could come out to 558 for a bad/dissat... more »

Don't buy anything that has to be assembled! If you have any problems with assembly, they don't care! No returns after package opened. And they won't assemble their crappy products for you (yes, I would have paid for it). Then their snarky manager made me feel stupid for even shopping there. No problem! BTW -- Ikea claims to be a NON-PROFIT! Yep, that's right. Ikea comes to your community and takes the money -- where they pay NO INCOME TAXES whatsoever to anyone! Stupid people! Stop shopping at companies that drain your community! « less
