johnson sucks. terrible signing. could have retained matsui for essentially the same price or could have had Damon instead of johnson and randy winn for the same price. these 2 bums together are hitting .100 at best and have given nothing to the team. I predicted before the season started that the moves made involving damon and matsui would cost the yankees a repeat world championship. they could just not afford to give up 2 clutch, seasoned, veteran, playoff tested stars for this bum johnson, who has never played close to a full season, has only hit .271 career, and had only 2 good seasons for the last place Nats in the NL East, one of the weakest divisions in baseball, a place where another bum, Javy Vasquez, thrived. Now that Johnson is seeing AL East pitching, he cant get the bat off of his fat shoulders. Cant run, cant drive in runners, absolutely a horrific signing that will cost them the championship and at 5.7 million to boot. Great move, Cashman. « less
