I bought a front load washer and matching dryer and after about 13 months have had ongoing problems with both. So far I have put about $400 - $500 in total repairs. Oh, if I had only known. Since then I have talked to numerous of people with the same issues. Never again! If you are thinking of buying LG, think again...you will regret it!

They wouldn't authorize a repair person who was on their list and willing to repair it THAT day because the dept. that approves this was closed on the weekend. Three weeks later, I still couldn't get their approval for a repair. They just repeat that there's nothing they can do until they get a response from this non-existent dept. and a supervisor is of no help. They could care less about customer satisfaction or the poor quality of their product. Three months later, after finally getting a repair, the appliance is now doing the same exact thing and it's off warranty. Too bad for me, there's nothing they can do. DO NOT buy an LG appliance! « less

Never again. Save yourself $$, time, and aggravation and stay away from LG products. My dishwasher has never worked correctly... doesn't clean dishes, doesn't dry properly, takes forever to go through a cycle. Then the pump broke. $350 and 5 1/2 WEEKS before it was back in operation. It's been 3 months, and the pump is broken AGAIN. LG tells ... more »

So it will cost me another $350 and God knows how long to get a new pump that probably won't last more than a few months. This company should not be allowed to sell products in the US.

I see 5 other people that have had their stainless stell drum come apart and it is a 450 repair..a new dryer is 550...and yet I might could get the slow bottle neck..jump through Hoops alabama service center to consider sending a new drum...and same a 123.00 if I could get HOME DEPOT to tell me when I made this purchase 4 years ago. Oh yea..that is right there on the computer at HOME DEPOT..hell you would be lucky to even find an employee that was there 4 years ago..much less a record of when I made the purchase..so to Home Depot and LG..my LG dryer and washer should be replaced again. My parents had a KENMORE>>that looked like the 50's..when I was in college..still drying clothes 24 years later..not much to look at but it didn't sound like someone had a baby in the dryer when you turned it on. « less

I called LG and they sent me a label to do a product swap for a brand new product. I had to move suddenly before I shipped the monitor, so I called LG and changed my shipping address. After 3 phone calls of them assuring me that the monitor would be shipped to new address, they STILL shipped to my old address. I finally had to call Fed-Ex myself after LG twice told me they changed it with the delivery company and change the address myself. FINALLY after 2 weeks of waiting for a 3 day shipping item I get the monitor in the mail.. and to my surprise the box has a huge label that says Refurbished - Used. I open the box and my monitor has a huge label saying Refurbished. I called LG and they said (after assuring me twice on the phone the swap was for a new product) that they could only offer me a buyback, giving me my money back if i return the product to them. I DONT WANT THE MONEY, I WANT MY HD MONITOR FOR MY NEW COMPUTER.. Thank You LG for this experience, it has taught me what a TERRIBLE company you really are and what a horrible customer service department you have. I am contacting the better business bureau this week because they did not honor their 1 year replacement warranty, instead giving me used product in exchange. I guess my $300 was worth only a month of good use out of my brand new product. VERY LAME LG~!! « less

I said screw it and paid full price for a non-LG replacement, and swore never to own another LG product.

Fast forward to 2009: I received a BluRay player as a gift. I don't really watch a lot of DVDs, but I loved the Netflix/networking capability. The other day, I went to use the DVD part and the thing wouldn't open! FOUR MONTHS OLD and it's broken! I called LG yesterday. They said they couldn't take it back, because I didn't have a receipt! I got a supervisor, who said their computers were down, but that they would take it back but I'd need to call and complete the deal today. I call and was told AGAIN that I couldn't send it back. Finally got through to ANOTHER supervisor, and they agreed to fix it: Ten days for the return label to arrive, and then 10 days for the unit to be fixed and returned.

LG is just Goldstar with a cosmetic facelift. They did NOTHING to improve their quality. Avoid them like the plague: You can get away with pretty products that break frequently (look at Ferrari) but your customer service better be amazing. « less

People have tried using all sorts of adapters and none of them work. I tried to get just a wired headset, and that doesn't even work. We have all been lied to and cheated by LG. What's the point in having a music player on the phone if you can't hook up listening devices? They expect us to play music from the dinky speakers? « less
