Read-only files locking you into the Visual Studio IDE. Workspaces that get out of sync with what's on your hard drive. Automatic check-outs (rather than a comparison-based approach) spamming your check-in window with files that haven't changed (.aspx.resx files etc). Several different "Get latest" options that all have different ideas about what "Get latest" actually means. Baseless merges. Gated check-ins. And much, much more.
