Because the selection is HUGE and contains some of New Zealand's top fashion labels and some of the best cuisine around. I find Newmarket an experience every time I visit, including visiting Stephen Marr for a colour and style every so often.

Walking up and down the street, you can see lots of pretty things to buy. Whether you actually buy anything depends entirely upon your will-power! Shoes, clothes, jewellery, pretty stationery, kitchenware... oh and don't forget the food!

It may not be on a fault line, but with all it's gorgeous stores and eateries, Newmarket well and truly rocks. All the other shopping precincts are just pebbles.

I love that I can get off the train (or many buses) and be right in the middle of it! Good cinemas, lots of shopping!

It is all within walking distance, has many options and plently of cafe's and parking isn't to bad once you know where to find some :)
