I like Stargate Universe a lot, actually. I like that it is dark and brooding. I like that it focuses on the character interactions rather than just blowing up shit. I'm a fan of the entire franchise and I loved SG1 and SGA immensely. They had comedy and drama in all the right places. They were primarily about "doing stuff", saving the universe and all, which is great, but Sci-Fi so rarely looks at the interpersonal, how they relate to each other and how they grow (or not) as individuals.
