Bank Of America sucks

Why do you think Bank Of America sucks? I'm going to make a "Bank of America Rips Off its Customers" bumper sticker and make a fortune. I had $261.00 in my check account last month and used my ATM card for several purchases over two days. These were $2.16 for some french fries at Burger King, just over $2.00 for a bean burrito at Taco Bell, $5.00 for a Subway veggie sandwich, $60.00 for some aluminum plates (I run a metal fabrication shop) and $61.00 for car insurance, and another item I forget now. That day an automatic payment also came in for $264.00, and it caught me off guard. There had been plenty of funds in my account to pay every item except the $264.00 automatic payment, but naturally the con artists at B of A debited the $264.00 item first, which caused all the other smaller ones to be overdraft items, too. When I went to the local branch and protested to the manager, she was very arrogant to me and told me that the bank pays the largest item first because that's what customers prefer. (Maybe the masochistic ones. Funny, I'm a customer and I don't want them to debit the large one first) This caused a long series of me making deposits to cover the repeated $35.00 fees, and each deposit I made was too late to avoid more fees. It was the snowball effect, no matter how much I deposited, I still had a negative balance. In the end I had paid a $35 fee for a $2.16 order of Burger King french fries, a $35 fee for a Coke, a $35 fee for a bean burrito and a $35 fee for a Subway 6" veggie sandwich, nine $35 fees in all, all in a row. The ridiculous thing is that B of A paid all my items, there were no returned checks. So why couldn't they have paid them small to large and let me keep a little bit of my money? It's like the old joke my local public radio station used to make at pledge time.... "Give us ALL of your money, not just SOME of it."

I have been dealing with BOA for 1.5 years. They refuse to credit my mortage payment correctly. Now, I have resorted to calling every month to have them post my payment correctly. I have been told by their CS rep. that it is not there responsibility to make sure my payment is posted correctly. When dealing with them, my behavior has sunk so low that I should be ashamed of myself for talking to any human being the way I have spoken to them. But they have pulled the ultimate trump card. After arguing for 1.5 years with them, trying to get enrolled into the PayPlan 24 so my mortgage would be accepted in partial payments, they finally explained that I did not qualify because that plan requires one advanced mortgage payment then the CS rep said we do have a plan were you can just make partial payments if you would like for me to enroll you. I was so enraged that I actually told the lady that I was going to have to call her back because I was so pissed off that I couldn't handle it.

I think that Bank Of America sucks really bad. I have credit cards with them, always paid on time and never missed a payment, yet they raised my apr to 20 some percent from 8-9 percent without even telling me and when I called them they tell me it's nothing they can do... really???? now recently, they decreased my credit line.... again... for no reason, always paid everything on time. Then they added annual fees to my credit card telling me that if I don't pay the annual fee they will cancel my credit cards and I had no annual fee when I opened my accounts. They started charging me some kind of maintenance fee on my savings account all of a sudden, and of course each and every time I try to talk to them on the phone they can't help me with anything.... I think they suck, I think they take advantage of people even tough we are going through hard economic times, they are allowed to screw people off and make more money with this whole situation. The government gave them money so they can help the economy but they don't do shit, they still act like assholes and don't give a shit about anybody but themselves.

I get strange fees and it takes so long to call in to talk to someone that I refuse to do it. So, I have about 25 different things that I want to change and really important account issues to resolve but I have too much anxiety every I consider calling them.

On Friday 02/06/2010 Bank of america BAC mtg. online services took an additional ( 1 payment had been paid 2 days before ) house payment out of my checking account (Not a B of A acct ) causing the acct to be overdrawn and taking all of the money remaining in my visa acct that remained as the 2 accounts were linked. Caused my account to be charged in overdrafts etc. When I called BAC MTG they said I had done it !! NOT ! I could not access the account online because of a glitch in their system and had been locked out for 6 months . Figure that out . Un-effing beleiveable !! I begged them to help with the debacle and the C.S woman said have a nice weekend !!

Where to start? We all know they make us wait on hold (long distance for me in Canada) for 3 hours. Can never reach my branch; the system put me through to the main customer service line. Branch manager is sleazy and touches me any chance he can. Their music on hold on the phone is like spikes in my eardrums. "Your business is important to us" messages playing every 10 seconds for 3 hours. Does not provide easy ways to contact them. Adding hidden fees to every transaction. Making my bank and card accounts separate logins online so a credit card payment takes 2 weeks to arrive. $35 late fees on card payments which were sent online with THEIR system 2 weeks earlier. Not canceling my bank account then charging fees due to inactivity. Their statements are TERRIBLE. Their carpets are filthy. Their site doesn't allow paperless billing to some states. Their reps on the phone say they think their service sucks yet the company won't do a thing.
A happy ending? Switched to Chase and when I call my branch it rings twice, I press "0" and have a REAL person on the phone within 5 seconds. Cheaper fees and WAY better service. (For now...)

refusing mortgage- payments I got behind trying to pay in full they sent it back WTF they are forcing a foreclosure because im on unemployment wonder if Obama knows or cares.

I ZEROED MY BALANCE YESTERDAY, $9691.79. TODAY THEY'RE CHARGING ME $224.79 FOR INTEREST. FF$@&%$!&!!!

I put two large sum checks into the bank, only to fin out later that they froze my accounts because of the amounts that i placed in their institution. I explained to them that i was out of town and had no other way of booking a hotel or getting gas to drive back home because they froze my entire account. The best the could do is tell me to call back on monday. This is Saturday, where the hell am i suppose to sleep and eat til monday in the winter time? I will be closing my account on monday and blasting them from here on out!

I called to let them know I'd be a couple days late on my payment (unemployment check was late.) and the customer service douch told me he wished "all the deadbeats would kill themselves" so he "wouldn't have to listen to their excuses." I complained to his manager and was told he was just having a bad day. I hate BofA. They all suck!!!

The cleared debit card transactions intentionally in a sequence that overdrafted my account. Suddenly, we went from closing the account to having 300 dollars in overdraft fees, in a week. Then they threatened me on the phone. They said I'd never bank in the USA again if I didn't pay. And they were right!! Now I bank with an overseas bank. I opened an account out of the country.

$10.00 a month to just have an account with them?!?!?! Opened an account with $50.00.......7 months later they say I owe them $40.00+ THEY CAN LICK MY BALLS!

There overdraft fees sucks, they hold deposit to make you account go in the red to charge you fees,

I just paid off my account. Not only did they go into my bank and take an additional $400.00 out AFTER I cancelled my autopay, but they said they needed interest on that paymant so I will get $150 back. Oh and they closed my account the next day. Guess I was a great customer when I owed them money.

They deliberately screw over customers using unannounced interest rate hikes, decreases in credit limit, huge overlimit fees, etc. to rob us. They increased interest rates to astronomical levels right before the new credit card legislation went through congress. They're just greedy corrupt scumbags. This company needs to be split up before it fails and brings the whole fucking economy crashing down with it. It's way too big, their lending practices are unethical and corrupt, and EVERYONE hates them. It WILL fail because of how horribly they treat their customers. They haven't learned anything. They still gave out $100M+ bonuses, they still fuck over their customers, and they don't deserve to be bailed out a second time.

I hate Bank of America because they believe they are best because they are the biggest. I also hate Bank of America because it sold my home mortgage (no default or problems EVER) to BAC Home Loans Servicing LP without notice. I get a new payment booklet, think it's a scam because there is a new account number, new address, new customer service phone number, etc. What if I changed my ssn, addresss and name and oh - forgot to tell them until I burned the house down. They can drop people, play games with their money and livelihood and expect loyalty and continued profits - 'cause their the biggest.

They've lost my money, they've locked my debit card while I was travelling, their online balance is way behind, with transactions popping up on dates for which there were no transactions that were previously listed. The branch lists 4pm as closing time but they are ALWAYS closed before I get there at 5 minutes til' 4 (I have an atomic clock so my time is correct). They would not give a deposit receipt to my room mate who made a deposit for me when I was unable to make it to the bank. The reason is that they didn't want to give out my account number(even though he had it in order to fill out the deposit slip), instead they mail the receipt through the mail in an envelope that was so thin I could read my account number through it. Try getting your credit card bill paid. Sometimes it takes DAYS for a payment to go through. Saturdays don't count as business days even though the bank is open for business. They charged my business account for a monthly fee even though I don't have monthly fees when I use the business debit card that month(which I did).

Why do people hate banks AND hate advertising? "Bank of Opportunity." FUCK YOU, NO LUBRICATION. The honorable A P Giannini, who founded the original bank, must be rolling over in his dear grave. Corporate liars, crooks and shills with MBAs and law degrees now run American corporations. Look at the result. THEFT! FUCK BANK OF AMERICA AND EVERYONE WHO WORKS FOR AND WITH THOSE CROOKS.

Because they lowered my credit limit from 20k to 10k and my FICO took a big hit because of it. Then they inform me my FIXED rate is being converted to a VARIABLE rate.

I got a small check from doing jury duty. When I went to cash it BOA -- it was a BOA check, they charged me more than a liquor store, even though the check read "Pay in full". They are thieves. They do not deserve our patronage, let alone or taxes money. I would be ashamed to work with such slime. These are low lives. How can we rid ourselves from this slime?

I have had a line of credit with MBNA for years. Then MBNA was bought by Bank of America. I have always been a good customer and have historcically always paid my account on time. Then due to an error on my part, I made one payment 4 days late only to receive a letter in the mail from Bank of America stating my line of credit had been reduced and that I could no longer draw on the line credit. What a joke... This bank is looking for any reason they can find to reduce thier customers lines of credit. I plan to pay off my account very soon and no longer due business with such a terrible banking organization.

I have had two BOA credit cards for years and years -- I have never missed a paymnet - never paid a late fee - never used more than 25 -30% of the availbale credit - made 4&5 times the mimimun payment every month - they just sent me a third business car with an 8000.00 limit on 10.1.09 -- yesterday they slashed all the limits including the one they just gave me --- they must be billiant at that bank -- to busy stealing he taxpayers money --nice thing paid off the balances and called to cancel them got screamed at by their senior credit specialist when she institsed that they would not re-open them if I closed them -- OH that brought me to trears --LIKE I WOULD EVER!!!~~~ What is pitiful is that women whoever she is is the real vicitm of BOA -- only she can't see it right now - they will slash her as well

About 3 years ago, they bought Quantam. I mistakenly paid 1 my old BOA card thinking I charged the wrong card. Now I have credit on one and late fee on the other 6 months and 4 late fees (after 1 was reversed). I got a refund check. 2-4 hours on the phone every month with promises they would waive all the fees and transfer the money.

Flash forward, BOA buys Country wide and instantly my Escrow account is hosed up. 2 hours on the phone with an end result of a promise to correct it and OMG WHat Suprise a month later when I get the next statement and nothing is done! It is exactly where it was last month.

Of course they arent open on weekends. I cant wait for my next 2 hour call to accomplish absolutely nothing.

HMMmm, I am now wondering how they are going to tack on fees to this to cost me even more money!

I just cant get away from them. Thinking of a refi- but who says they dont buy it up again and I am out 1500-2000 in refinance fees and end up stuck with bank of stupidity again?

I have a 8 year loan with this awful company. I am 3 years in never missed a payment and was never late. They are changing my already high rate to a variable. They said because the economic state they are doing it across the board. Like I'm living i some other economy that is better. FUCK YOU BANK OF AMERICA.
