No, we do not have a Union. So far it was not necessary to have a Union but now more Flight Attendants fell that we need one. Senior Flight Attendants get everything inclusive retirement. Everybody hired after 2000 gets no retirement and the first 5 years 50% less flight pay than a senior FA. Richard Anderson does not know what equality means. The "whatever" attitude of FAs is going to impact Delta's reputation. Management is so greedy at this corporation and of course they have contracts that protects them.

I am a Flight Attendant (FA) at Delta and would like to let people now why they have bad experiences with Delta. We do not have a Union and therefor Work rules are changed all the time. This is what FAs at Delta make per flight hour. Airlines pay ONLY Flight Time! Boarding/Deplaning and everything on the ground is NOT paid.
Start 1st year $20.67
After 1 year 2nd year $21.49
After 2 years 3rd year $22.96
After 3 years 4th year $24.84
After 4 years 5th year $27.37
After 5 years 6th year $29.43
After 6 years 7th year $34.65
After 7 years 8th year $35.77
After 8 years 9th year $36.76
After 9 years 10th year $38.12
After 10 years 11th year $39.18
After 11 years 12th year $41.04
After 12 years 13th year $45.75
After 13 years 14th year $45.75
After 14 years 15th year $45.75
This means that on a 3 day domestic trip FAs work 30+ hrs but get only paid half!!! Many days FAs work up to 14hrs! We deal with all kinds of drama, oversized carry ons, extreme temperatures in the cabin, poor maintained and way to old aircrafts, etc.
My base income now in my 5th year is about $28000 by working almost 90flight hrs a month. That is 45hrs on duty a week. Our layovers are short and we can't get decent rest, we have to buy overprized airport food or eat junkfood we can afford. Our CEO Richard Anderson makes at least 600 times what we make and after writing over 1000 report with no answer or results I aggree, "Delta does not care" Now how are we supposed to make Passengers happy if our own employer does not care about his employees? Screw the profit charing Mr. Anderson! Pay us right!! Treat us like human beings! Pay Overtime! Pay for Uniform cleaning and give us the same per diem than pilots get so we can eat healthy food!!
