The place is rife with "intentionally" homele...

The place is rife with "intentionally" homeless people who refuse to work and instead beg for money, cigarettes, cell phones, food, rides and beer. I don't mind helping the hurting out but when you have kids in packs begging for everything it gets annoying that you can't even go to the store without them hitting you up constantly for things.

And area churches make the problem worse by having daily feeds so that these gangs always get a hot, hearty meal and never have any reason to better themselves.

If the Firefox fans actually held Mozilla to the fire the way they do posters FF would work better. And I know that part of the problem isn't just Firefox but the add ons you can add to it. But it seems a lot of people are having trouble with freezing and broken pages and flash crashes and other problems. And I have friends (who hate Microsoft) who have uninstalled Firefox because they said it messed up their computers. And some of these guys have new, massive computers built for gaming. I love the add ons you can put on FF but it is getting slower and buggier. And I have IE, Chrome, Opera and Safari on my computer. And I usually use FF to access the net. But the love affair I had and others had with FF is growing cold with each speed stealing, page crashing upgrade. I think 4 gigs of Ram and 320 gigs should be good for simply accessing the net and viewing pages and watching Youtube videos. And it is, except for what FF decides it wants to consume resources. I freaking hate that IE is noticeably faster. Hate it. But it seems I am not alone on that.

And you know what? Movies at the cinema start...

And you know what? Movies at the cinema start quicker than Youtube videos using FF. Sad but true. Seems like it freezes every time for at least a minutee before showing videos. SUCKS.

I couldn't agree more. I will NEVER work on my website in Firefox again. It crashes, seems to have a restraining order against flash, makes my computer boiling hot, is slow to start, slow to run, slow to shut down. I wish I had back all the time I argued with people that IE was a dangerous, buggy browser. I HATE HATE HATE the automatic updates and yes it seems to ruin what I have to figure out how to fix with each update.

You're funny. I am not even 30. And yes, Seattle does have some really, really friendly people, and they often suffer in silence the rudeness of others. Which only makes the rude try harder to aggravate the nice people. It is my experience that some of the nicest people here are transplants. Sometimes, in some areas it is the locals with the wirey hair, the smell of ass covering them, every other word being eff you.....and basically complaining about anyone asking anything of them. But some of the locals are nice too. Some are a bit argumentative and instant ready to raise a storm over everything, which, is odd, considering you and I noticed how nice people are here. But, some of those are the children or grandchildren of transplants from the poorer parts down South, which explains the lack of manners. So, ultimately we agree about the issue of garbage. And I am sure that you and I both have lives. But, honestly, since you admitted you don't live here, and have never lived here. Don't you think it is a bit much to carry on arguing with someone who has been here for 18 years? Believe me, I know the area well, and, since my tax dollars go to support this place I think I should be the one with the right to complain. Next time you are here, go a bit North of Seattle to a place called Everett. Spend a day walking around and see what you think. But be prepared to be harassed for cigarettes, money, rides, cellphones and such. And be prepared to be hit if you try to tell the beggars off. Seattle and the region has some nice places and a rather militant, belligerent, self entitled class of people who live to feed on EBT cards, social benefits and basically taking what does not belong to them. But you might have to live here to see that. So, you have my permission to move here and put a dumpster on your property. I will give you the number to have the old couches and broken tvs removed when you put one in and get up in the morning and find that others put stuff there that YOU and I could get fined for not throwing away properly. After about 7 years of that it tends to get a bit annoying, hence the reason for my post. Enough said.

And the neighbor from hell thing doesn't make sense if you note the following words from the original post.

"When you politely try to stop it they go instantly postal and spew threats because you DARED ask one single thing of them."

That seems to be exactly what has been happening here. Someone wanting to argue that they have a right to dump garbage wherever they damned well please. You seem to feel it is an infringement on some sort of right. Which is exactly the way I feel, an infringement on my right to use what I pay for.

Your opinion is duly noted. You obviously have some connection to Seattle or the NW because you wouldn't have posted here. You made your point. You aren't going to change me. However, seeing so many locks and chains on dumpsters shows me that the vast majority of people are simply annoyed into action and tired of being dump spots for selfish, classless people.

Nope. Not the neighbor from hell. I never yell at the neighbor who cranks his music till 3 am or talks loudly in front of houses at 5 am. I actually look the other way when bums go through my garbage, they seem for the most part to be okay. Only mustered up some words when one jerk made a mess of the bags and wouldn't clean it up, and when another was ONLY taking mail that had been thrown away. Nor do I complain when neighbors park in front of my place and don't move their car in weeks. But, if you think enforcing something I pay for makes me a neighbor from hell it just shows that you have some serious problems with being told not to invade another's space. And the fence thing isn't relevant here. Again, you are personalizing things. You commented on my post here and should expect replies when you say you hate people like me. And you're replying on a Seattle HATE board which is basically for people to post why they hate Seattle. And, you know, I took a walk earlier and noticed that ALL the dumpsters on my street had padlocks and chains on them and several have "illegal to dump" notices on or near them. Clearly I am not the only one annoyed by people dumping stuff, and, to be honest, I am the only one who wasn't angry enough to put a chain and lock on my dumpster. And I wouldn't have a problem with you dumping small things in my dumpster. I live right across from a high school. The kids dump soda bottles, empty cigarette boxes almost every day. And it does beat littering. The problem is when it is full bags, over full bags, furniture, broken couches, stereo units, broken microwaves, coffee makers and hideous old junk that cluttered their houses. Would you like to come home from a hard day at work and find a queen size mattress on your lawn? Well, go tell the guy who put it there. He will complaint that he had a right to put it there because he didn't want to have it taken away. THAT is the mentality I am speaking about. The view that other people have where they think that no one but them has rights. Anyways, we've exhausted this. You have your opinion, I have mine. I will continue to have my views and if people have the supposed right to dump their crap wherever they want to, I reserve the right to object to it. Like it or not it simply never happened in other states I lived in. It does here, and it happens because of a spoiled, devil may care, self centered attitude that too many in and around Seattle have.

The problem with your argument is that you are personalizing this. Obviously you have some history with dumping your trash somewhere it doesn't belong so it hits a nerve with you. Also, the McDonald's argument is fatally flawed. Legally what is thrown in the garbage becomes up for grabs. However, and legally incorrect and also against the law is the practice of dumping garbage in someone else's PAID for space. It is illegal and with good reason. In fact it is punishable by being arrested. In your personalizing my post you tend to think this is about someone putting a little bit of waste into a bin. But this is flawed and incorrect. In truth it turns out that BAGS of waste get put on and around the paid for bin, which then get ripped apart by bums (who just came from raiding McDonald's garbages) and it becomes a mess. Also, although you might not be aware of this, the garbage collectors charge EXTRA for extra garbage when the bins or dumpsters are emptied. So, its not a matter of giving up space now is it? Its a matter of having to accommodate your selfish Northwest desire to get something free from me, then argue with me when I try to explain that I end up having to clean up your mess, and sometimes pay extra when others like you decide that they have some damned birthright to do whatever they please, whenever they want to. It is a NORTHWEST thing to be so petty and out right flaming and argumentative when people simply try to defend their borders. The new money in Washington and Seattle want to do whatever they want whenever they want and then go postal when simply told to pay their own way or respect the space and property of others. For some reason too many folks in the NW haven't learned that or even heard of the golden rule. It is simply bizarre that you want to debate why you have the right to dump your garbage in someone elses space. Which is exactly what you are doing here. And Seattle has too many people like that and so does the NW. People who feel a sense of entitlement to have their way at others expense. You again are just proving my point and rather glaringly so with your opening line "Man, don't even try." You simply want the right, not only to dump garbage but also to post a criticism and not expect a reply. How NW of you. Seriously. You might not even know that but really that is what you are doing. Being critical and argumentative when someone is establishing (very legally I might add) boundaries. Too many of you in and around the NW simply want to do whatever you want whenever you want. It reeks of poor parenting (which is obvious from all the teen meth heads and fetal alcohol babies around here) and shows in your continued and rather closed minded need to challenge what you feel is a boundary you don't deserve. Dude, are you aware that my post said BIN???? in reference to garbage? Nowhere did I say can. You PAY to have a garbage bin and even recycle containers get filled by neighbors with non recycle garbage. So, your whole argument is pointless. If you are going to hate people (which the fetal alcohol syndrome mentally deranged folks in and around Seattle instantly do) at least read the post right before replying. You had to (typical for Seattle types) insert an insert there to, which, the pointless reference to inlaws makes all the more jaw droppingly confusing. See, a dude who wants to argue to have the right to dump his garbage in my space. TYPICAL. And you saw it live here yourself folks. Someone actually writing in to complain that they have the RIGHT to dump their garbage wherever they want to! Classic!
