Why do I hate lion? Well lets start!
1- It's buggy as hell!
2- Makes my apple slower. Lets face it how is this upgrading a system?
3-My apple is not an Ipod, Therefore i don't need an interface that makes my apple like one. Why do i need to downgrade my computer to a smart-phone
4-SOme apps won't work with lion Unless you upgrade them....ahem that can cost up to hundreds of euros for some apps.
5- Takes away a lot of features and apps that people just loved.
6-Takes away the professional features of the old system, Snow leopard, which I might mention was a revolutionary system.
7- And here is my biggest reason yet which might not be apparent on first glance:
Lion is the first step to apple controlling and monopolizing the things we can do with out apple computers. At some point we will be forced to start using lion or we beceome outdated with apps as new updates and new apps will only work on lion at some point. This wouldn't be so bad as it is a natural thing that happens whenever a new system is released. BUT!!!!! Besides the fact that this "update" is a piece of crap in comparison to the previous one....or hell I prefer classic over this,,, apple is planning to only allow apple users to buy apps from now on from itunes store, this will mean that we can't go to the store and buy apps for our computer anymore, meaning apple gets a monopoly on anything we buy for our apple.
Also Lion comes together with something else called Icloud. While it is not yet confirmed there is a chance that apple will start making people pay monthly fees to use Icloud. Oke so now you ask: Who cares simply don't use Icloud....Aaaaahhhhhh if that were only possible because it appears that in order to buy apps from itunes store in the future we need an icloud account. So that means that unless we don't pay a montly fee we can't install any new software on our apples.
Honestly speaking apple used to be my favorite computer for the simple reasons that they were machines that got the job done. No bugs, viruses or annoying background crap running. Just plain and simple. Yes they have always been overprized, but at least you could trust that once you fianlly bought a machine that it was going to last you 5 years minimum. (We got an old G4 and Mac mini, both of which still work just as good as the day they were bought....and they have been used INTENSIVELY) Granted they are outdated, but that will happen to any computer regardless of what brand it is.
Anyways right now i feel apple is just a money sucking company. I am seriously considering to buy a Dell next. For half the money I get double the power in a laptop compared to a mac book pro.
I am not hating apple here, but I am afraid that my life long trust in them (Been an apple fan since my birth...I am 19 years old)) but if apple is going to stop being trustworthy then I don't see spending the extra money on them either. Trust is something hard to get by these days, that is why i used to invest the extra money in these guys.
