Because for one of the main purposes for HTML...

Because for one of the main purposes for HTML 5, namely replacing Flash for Audio and Video, it is completely useless and sucks like 10.000 Dysons.

The state of HTML 5 video and audio is so unstable that I still have the Flash plugin installed just for this single use case and on all sites which offer me the choice between HTML and Flash video, I choose Flash, and I hope they keep offering it.

I think I've written a statement about this before, however, it still amazes me how much this application sucks. Especially considering the fact that it's one of the most visible and prominent parts of Windows, and probably one of the most used. No wonder Macs are rated number 1 in customer satisfaction.

I mean, dude, even the integrated media player on my iPhone (a PHONE!) is better by leaps and bounds. It doesn't bombard me with a ton of utterly useless and chaotic clutter that camouflages into something else each time I click anywhere, it supports seeking (Windows Media Player can only »set the playback head«, without any visual feedback whatsoever), it starts much faster with a CPU much slower, it also supports far more media formats... the list goes on...

Why the hell does ANYBODY use Windows?

It is the single technically fucking worst web site on the planet. NOTHING works, the HTML/CSS/JS is an EVIL, TERRIFYING MESS. International sites are full of COMPLETELY WRONG TRANSLATIONS. Automatic emails are FULL OF SHIT. If you have several accounts, eBay will CONFUSE AND MIX THEM when you click on links in eBay emails. It is SLOW and UGLY.

Flash used to be perfect until after Flash 5, when it (especially ActionScript) gradually turned into an incredibly convoluted, artificially over-complicated pile of verbose and unusable garbage, with an IDE that is ass-slow, inefficient, and crashing all the time. Just like any Adobe product, actually.
