I actually feel "meh" about Spotify.

Pros: A large music library. On-demand style system. Free.

Cons: That large music library is pretty-well limited to the stuff you'd likely be able to hear on terrestrial radio anyway. Indie, Unreleased, and foreign language music is barely there if at all. Artists don't make any money on Spotify - they are paid thousandths of a penny on the dollar for each play. And then there's the ads - I understand the need for companies like Spotify to rely on advertising for their main revenue stream, but everytime an ad loads it crashes the app. Spotify also likes to boot itself for no reason, interferes with other programs, is invasive, and unstable. It doesn't help that it forces you to connect through Facebook, and the settings to prevent it from constantly spamming your freinds' newsfeeds with what you're listening to is buried. Finally, the interface is not user-freindly - you are forced to search for bands by name or tracks by title, and find new acts by clicking on any of the "related acts" in tiny tiny script in the upper-right. There is no easy way to search by genre (I had to look it up on a non-Spotify tech forum to find out how) and there is no way to browse by genre.
